a pre-show kickoff event featuring a 5K run/walk, 10K run and wheelchair race supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo educational fund. All events have a $30 entry fee.

March 4th, 9 am – 11:30 am • 7 Rings of Gold Walk
The Houston Hearts of Gold will host its first 7 Rings of Gold Walk in honor of Nicole Lee. The family-friendly walk benefiting The Cure Starts Now Foundation will start and finish at the Memorial High School track, located at 935 Echo Lane, with seven laps around the track to remember Nicole Lee’s seven years of life, which were cut short by DIPG, an aggressive, inoperable tumor of the brain stem. The 82nd annual Azalea Trail is sponsored by River Oaks Garden Club. This year’s trail will feature Bayou Bend Gardens, Rienzi and the Forum of Civics Building on the tour, along with four magnificent homes and gardens located in River Oaks. Proceeds are given back to the community for projects in horticultural education, conservation and
civic beautification. Tickets are available at River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics, located at 2503 Westheimer Road.
