Howdy partner! Spring has sprung – well, actually it never left did it? – and Spring Break is around the corner! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo starts March 7th, and March Madness is trending too. Our cover story this month is about one of the best and oldest libraries in Houston: our very own Spring Branch Memorial Library. Yes, I said library. In this digital and technical age, one might think a library is old-fashioned and outdated, but it is the opposite. I recently learned about all of the programs and classes they offer and about their annual plant and book sale. Read all about it on page 10.
I enlisted the help of my friend Erica Rico, morning co-host of The New 93Q, to wade through some do’s and dont’s at the Rodeo. Ladies, if you think it’s a don’t, it probably is!
We have once again partnered with the 72nd Annual Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. It starts Wednesday, March 22nd and goes through Sunday, April 2nd. What an unbelievable event. We are out there every year, and this year is no exception. We will also be doing ticket giveaways on Facebook, so be sure and like us!
Finally, in this month’s Where Are They Now?, we take a look at former Memorial High School basketball star Jerry Kroll. I love finding out about the incredible people in our community!
Have a great Spring Break and see you in April!
